Members of The Light of The World church celebrated four Holy Supper Services on Tuesday, May 7 in Washington, D.C., to accommodate the large number of faithful in attendance. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., two Holy Supper services were held simultaneously in English and Spanish in different halls. Then, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., two more Holy Supper Services were held simultaneously in English and Spanish in adjacent halls.

The Holy Supper Services were held at different times because of the high number of participants who came from the East Coast of the United States to Washington D.C. to fulfill the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ “do this in remembrance of me.”
The guests for the first Holy Supper Service arrived as early as 8 a.m. The ample hallways of the Gaylord National Convention Center were filled with members and visitors from The Light of the World church as they made their way to the venue.

The first to enter were the choirs who, with happiness reflected on their faces, diligently entered and thanked God for the joy of being physically present after 4 years, in a Holy Supper celebration.

At 10:00 a.m. and at 4:00 p.m., the Holy Supper Worship Services began in two rooms, one service in Spanish and the other in English, with expressions of joy and faith of all those present. The songs and prayers were sung with great solemnity. During the worship service, members from various cities offered praises to God, both in Spanish and English, prompting the Church to prepare for the most sacred moment.

At the conclusion of the Worship Service segment, the ceremony of Holy Supper began, presided by a minister in representation of the Apostle of Jesus Christ Naason Joaquin Garcia, who read an Apostolic Letter and after praying to consecrate the bread and wine, the Deacons and Pastors distributed the Holy Supper to the attendees.

Along with the joy in the room set up for Spanish-speaking members, the English-speaking brethren also enjoyed a Holy Supper in their own language, with a large choir singing praises in their language as the authorized ministers went through each row of chairs bringing the blessing of the bread and wine to each member who would receive it with great fervor.

Thus, the Holy Supper was celebrated in Washington DC with resounding success, with a renewed commitment in every heart; to have celebrated the sacred memorial in fulfillment of the blessed commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ, “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death till He comes.” 1 Corinthians 11:26.
