29 de April de 2024 | Holy Supper, Holy Supper San Diego, CA

The Holy Supper Welcoming Ceremony is a religious event that encompasses the multiculturalism of the Church throuth the choirs, cultures, ethnicities, languages, and flags, that symbolize the presence of the Christian faith in more than 60 countries around the world, and also marks the beginning of the Holy Convocation which refers to the days in which the spiritual feast takes place.

As early as 8:00 a.m., members of the Light of the World faith from congregations in cities of San Diego County, California, arrived at the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel located on one of the main avenues of the city. The choirs enlivened the entrance of the thousands of members who quickly filled the venue. Youth, couples, and families were seen with great joy on their faces, smiles were visible on all those present.

Many from a distance opened their arms to warmly embrace friends, relatives, and acquaintances, who at last meet again. The greatest joy is that they find themselves persevering in faith and hope, and in unity they come to commemorate the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ that gives spiritual life, that gives humanity the hope of eternal life, they come to remember the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

At 10:00 a.m. the event’s loudspeakers resounded: “Voices of joy and salvation resound in the Light of the World Church…” were the first words of the presiding Pastor, who presided over the inaugural event.

The flag of the United States of America opened the procession of delegates, followed by the flag of Mexico with ministers invited from Mexico, followed by the delegates from the congregations in Escondido, Fallbrook, National City, Oceanside, San Diego, Spring Valley and South San Diego, California. As the choirs sang, “Welcome, Welcome, the brethren here today, we rejoice to say, Welcome, Welcome, as we gather once again, Welcome.” those in attendance raised their hands to welcome all the delegates.

As the choirs sang their hymns of welcoming, it was time to embrace each other in a fraternal hug, their faces filled with joy, tears of emotion, and happiness. All those present welcomed each other and together, bending their knees, they gave thanks to God.

In the afternoon, the members gathered to continue with the scheduled gatherings, where the minister explained the importance of the intervention of the apostolic authority for the celebration of the Holy Supper, since, in the order established by our Lord Jesus Christ in
His church, He first appointed apostles in whom he placed his authority to commemorate the Lord’s sacrifice in His name.

For I received from the Lord that which I also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus on the same night in which He was betrayed took bread;  and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “Take, eat; this is My body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” (1 Corinthians 11:23)

This concluded the first day of the Holy Convocation, the brethren returned home with the great blessing in their hearts, eager to return to the second day of activities to continue rejoicing in this beautiful feast.
